Accessibility
Our commitment
The Creator Archives works to make this site usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and screen magnification.
Conformance status
This site aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA . Its current status is partially conformant, meaning some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to that standard. Improving that is ongoing work, not a finished state.
What has been done
Measures already in place on this site:
- Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a logical, unskipped heading order on every page.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on links, buttons, and interactive controls, including a version tuned to stay visible on dark panels.
- Reduced-motion preferences are honoured throughout — anyone with "reduce motion" set on their device gets a version of this site with no scroll or carousel animation.
- Meaningful images carry real text alternatives; purely decorative marks are hidden from screen readers instead of being announced as noise.
- Colour contrast is enforced by automated build checks that fail the build if a text/background pair falls short — not a one-time manual pass.
- The coaching application form works without JavaScript: it submits as a plain HTML form and still reaches us if scripts are blocked or fail to load.
Known limitations
One contrast gap is on record and not yet fully resolved: the site's amber accent button has a fill colour that measures 1.80:1 against its background, below the 3:1 contrast WCAG asks for on a UI control's boundary. As a mitigation, that button always carries a solid dark border so its edge stays perceivable even though the fill itself doesn't clear that floor. The remaining gap is tracked, and closing it properly — rather than papering over it — is ongoing.
Assessment approach
This statement is based on a self-evaluation of the site's own code, plus automated checks run against it. No third-party accessibility audit has been performed.
Feedback
If you run into an accessibility barrier on this site, we want to know about it. Email hello@thecreatorarchives.io and tell us what you were trying to do and where it broke down. We aim to respond within five business days. If you've already applied, replying to whatever email or text we followed up on reaches us just as well.
